基于计划 - 执行 - 检查 - 改进循环管理对口腔疾病防治过程中的效用研究

Abstract: Objective This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle management in the prevention and treatment of oral diseases. Methods This study enrolled 138 health-care professionals from Chongqing Liangping District People’s Hospital and local community health service centers (October 2023-January 2025) as participants. Through computer-generated randomization, subjects were allocated equally into two groups (n= 69/group): an experimental group receiving PDCA-based interventions and a control group maintaining conventional workflows. Key outcome measures—including training competency assessments, clinical efficacy in oral disease prevention/treatment, patient satisfaction indices, and training engagement rates—were systematically assessed and compared across cohorts. Results Compared with the control group, the theoretical assessment scores, operational assessment scores, total score of prevention and treatment quality assessment (including prevention and treatment quality, publicity and education, personnel qualifications), the participation rate of medical staff training, and the satisfaction rate of patients’ education by medical staff in the study group were all significantly higher, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion The structured application of the PDCA cycle throughout clinical operations demonstrates significant potential for optimizing healthcare workforce competencies. This systematic approach contributes to measurable improvements in patient care satisfaction indices, culminating in the enhancement of treatment outcomes and ultimately augmenting health-related quality of life metrics.
