汕头市龙湖区中学生艾滋病同伴教育讲座效果评价

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) peer education lectures and provide a scientific basis for adolescent AIDS health education. Methods From May to August 2024, a total of 1,568 students from 7 schools in Longhu District, Shantou were selected via stratified cluster sampling, with anonymous surveys using self-administered questionnaires. Results Post-training, students’ awareness of key knowledge like AIDS transmission routes and prevention measures rose significantly (P＜0.001). Awareness rates of “correct condom use reduces risk” and “AIDS cannot be judged by appearance” reached 96.1% and 96.5% respectively. Students showed high satisfaction: 74.4% were “very satisfied”, and 96.9% wished to participate again. Conclusion AIDS peer education lectures effectively improved students’ knowledge and protection awareness with high satisfaction. Future efforts will optimize lecture modes and content to meet diverse student needs, enhancing AIDS prevention knowledge popularization and education quality.
