基于老年综合评估护理对长期卧床患者预防感染效果的研究

Abstract: Objective To investigate the preventive effect of comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) nursing on infection in elderly patients who are bedridden for a long time. Methods 96 elderly long-term bedridden patients who received medical treatment in our hospital from October 2023 to October 2024 were randomly divided into two groups: a control group of 48 patients who received routine care and an observation group of 48 patients who received CGA care. The nursing effects were compared and studied. Results Comparing the incidence of infection, the observation group (12.50%) was superior to the control group (33.33%) (P＜0.05). Compared to the control group (81.25%), the observation group (97.92%) showed better nursing satisfaction (P＜0.05). Comparing the nutritional status, the observation group had a better post nursing score than the control group (P＜0.05). Compared with the control group, the observation group showed better levels of procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP) after nursing care (P＜0.05). Compared with the quality of life, the observation group had a better post nursing score than the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion CGA nursing is of high value for elderly patients who are bedridden for a long time. It can actively prevent infections, improve nutritional status, PCT, CRP, and quality of life, making it worthy of reference.
